![]() Prior to launch, Microsoft stated that Halo 4 was the most expensive video game title the company had created so far. The game was officially announced at Electronic Entertainment Expo 2011 (E3) on June 6. Several external studios assisted 343 Industries with developing Halo 4, and over 350 people worked on the game in total. A goal for Halo 4 's story was to incorporate more human elements to achieve this, the developers chose to delve more deeply into the relationship between the two protagonists, Master Chief and Cortana. Existing characters and assets received visual overhauls, recreated from the ground up, and motion capture was used for animation within cutscenes. In the developmental process, 343 Industries decided to explore the Forerunner fiction within the Halo universe, leading the team to design a new setting, enemies, and main antagonist. Halo 4 is 343 Industries' first original title within the Halo series-previously, development of the main series was undertaken by Bungie, the creator of the franchise. You could marginally reduce the size of the joint or just file it after printing, but to avoid this I suggest the arm be attached to the rest of the model, and then printed as a whole upside-down.Halo 4 is a 2012 first-person shooter video game developed by 343 Industries and published by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox 360 video game console. Although this can be accounted for in software, the fine detail of this model meant that this wouldn't be feasible. ![]() ![]() Things tend to be very slightly bigger than expected when printed using FDM, which caused Cortana's right arm to not fit properly into its socket.There are a few artifacts on the legs and arms which arose from embossings on the surface being magnified by the FDM process, but these can easily be removed with basic post-processing.I chose to print her in the hue she was in Halo: CE. As you know cortana has changed colour throughout the years.The finish was overall very nice! Notes: I sliced the object using Simplif圓D with a layer height of 0.1mm and an infill of 25%. In hindsight the right arm should have been attached to model as this would prevent any problems with printing small parts. I rotated the model 180° about the x axis so cortana was on her head, as this reduced the amount of supports and meant that no supports appeared between Cortana's hair and shoulders. The model was very small when imported (likely due to imperial units being used), so I scaled it to 700% its original size. Please note: This was printed on a Velleman Vertex but since this is not listed on the site I have selected Vertex's predecessor, the Velleman K8200, as the printer.
